Aging and Skincare
Our skin is a reflection of our inner health. It is a prominent visual health report of an individual based on the concepts of mulitple medical schools of thought: ancient, holistic, and modern medicine. Glowing and radient skin is usually associated with a healthy individual as opposed to inflamed, pale or dull skin which is reflective of excess or deficiency. Thus, the state of your inner health and organs, and your biological aging is usually evident from your skin.
Calendar age and biological age are very different things. Two people born on the same day, at the same time, and in the same year, are the same calendar age, but may look and be very different in biological age. An individual with glowing skin which reflects great inner and outer health might have a biological age of six years younger, while another with poor inner and outer health may appear and have a biological age of being ten years older. A healthy mind in a healthy body which is balanced is required to escape aging.
At Escape Aging, we aim to help you escape your calendar age by slowing or even reversing your biological age. In addition to the elixirs of youth in the form of our products, we bring you the valuable knowledge from many ancient texts on this science. Below are a few tips to help aid you on your journey to Escape Aging.
Practices for Healthy Skin
-
A Healthy Routine
A healthy skin care routine is a must. Cleanse morning and evening with a mild wash, followed by providing much needed nutrients including the use of ESC Aging mask every other day followed by natural moistorizer. Fresh aloe vera for night time and papaya for day are great options!
-
Protect, Protect, Protect
Always protect from sun damage. While some sun is needed for vitamin D production, it is the single major cause of damage. Take advantage of the sunrise when sun rays are slanting and most beneficial, and always use sunscreen. Be mindful to reapply!
-
Coverage over Sunscreen
Always limit use of sunscreen in favor of clothing and hats so as to not overwhelm your skin with the chemicals that sunscreens add to your body.
-
Beauty Sleep
Good sleep is vital, that's why it has become a colloquial 'I need my beauty sleep'. This is required to rejuvenate your inner and outer health. It relaxes your mind, and allows organs to replenish your depleted body and gear up for the rigors of the next day.
-
Exercise and Hydration
Exercise and hydration are equally important. You must drink plenty of water, minimize salt and sugar intake, and practice regular exercise to keep the flow of Qi (chi - lifeforce) so inner and outer health is maintained.
-
Regulate Shower Temperature
Minimize hot showers and opt for luke warm showers. Occasionally alternating between hot and cold showers.
-
Daily Polar Plunge
For the brave at heart and physically fit, a swim in cold water early morning is super beneficial where your skin is cold but body is warm. This is super benefical if you are close to a clean natural water body as opposed to chlorinated and chemical infused water.
-
A Balanced Diet + Stress Relief
Avoid or limit fried foods, super heavy meals and processed foods. Quit smoking, limit alcohol and coffee intake, and work on relaxing your mind by practicing Yoga or Qi Gong.
-
A Lifetime Practice
Remember it is an ongoing project. Just like your heart beats and your body breathes from the day you are born to the day you die, you need to keep the regime of healthcare ongoing to Esc Aging.
